Lindy's Birthday Partiessss

We had three celebrations for Lindy's birthday. On friday, we celebrated at Jason's parents house with Jason's parents, grandparents, uncle and brother. We had a dinner celebration and cake and presents. Lindy did not totally understand everything, but she had a great time. On saturday we went to dinner with my neice, nephew and brother. My neice's, Loren, birthday is on the 12th. So we celebrated Loren and Lindy's birthday that evening at Red Lobster--one of Loren's favorite places to eat. Then finally today, my parents came over for dinner and we celebrated once again. It has been a fun weekend. We are so blessed by having our family so close.

Merry Christmas

What a joyful season. The birth of Christ--our savior. He has so blessed our lives with our beautiful children. Lindy was an early Christmas present 2 years ago today. Bradley is the big brother and takes his role very seriously. He will let us know anytime Lindy is out of order:). Bradley was in our church Christmas program a couple of weeks ago. He and the other little ones sang a song in front of the congregation. It was a delightful site. We sponsored a family through our church to give gifts to this year. It is never too early to show Bradley and Lindy that we are to serve others just as Christ said He came to serve. We try to teach Bradley and Lindy that the Christmas season is not all about gifts for ourselves, but at their age they just don't understand. A toy magazine came in the mail and I told Bradley, "let's look and see what we can get our family for Christmas." He quickly replied, "let's look and see what I can get." So I am fine with planting little seeds of compassion for now and knowing God will allow them to take root in time:) To those of you reading this, we pray you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year season. May we all take the time to reflect on the blessed gift our Heavenly Father gave us over 2000 years ago. God bless you all.
Since Bradley and Lindy have family in various states, we thought it would be fun to start a blog. I hope we can keep it up to date. Lindy's 2nd birthday is today!! Jason brought her doughnuts for breakfast this am to celebrate. She loves "white doughnuts". Of course she shared with Bradley--as he loves them too. We will celebrate her birthday tomorrow at Jason's parents home with family. Jason's dad (papa D) and grandmother (grams) will cook red beans and rice for everyone. I'm sure Lindy will have a few presents to open, but she is looking most forward to cake:).
